Round Overview, compounded of 7 phases (1. elections; 2. draw and play cards; 3. income; 4. outcome; 5. movement; 6. battles; 7. checking victory):
The board is split into overlapping Bishoprics (5) and Fiefs (8). The board also presents a summary of the events in the round:

Alliances are formalised through marriage. As a result, your alliance (2 players) will require 4 points to win, instead of 3 (solo victory).
Event and disaster cards that affect a chosen Fief (in the case of disasters, the affected Fief is decided by the die). Spoiler alert: the plague card hurts really badly!
Finally, these are your troops (knights and men-at-arms). They also include trebuchets.
There are some expansions (yes, I bought them too!) that allow you to add variety to your troops, like archers and bombard cannons. In one word: awesome!
Note: This is a back-stabbing game. So, if you get easily offended, and you don't want to lose friends, don't play this game!
